OF LUTHERAN CONGREGATIONS IN MISSION FOR CHRIST

Welcome to The Epiphany District

We are a fellowship of Lutherans, individuals and congregations, who desire to remain faithful to the Word of God in Scripture and its right interpretation in the Lutheran Confessions.  We accept the authority of Scripture as final and believe that salvation is through Christ alone.
As a district in Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), an association of Christians who are:
  • Free in Christ and accountable to one another
  • Rooted in Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions
  • Working together to fulfill the call to make disciples of all nations
The purpose of the Epiphany District is to serve as a voice and support network for small and rural congregations of the LCMC and to assist these congregations and their pastors in the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It may be said that we are the “Epiphany District, Lifting Up the Gospel in rural North America.”

As the Epiphany District of LCMC, we will:
  • provide for our members opportunities for Christian learning, renewal, outreach, and fellowship.
  • support the training of pastors to serve congregations by sponsoring the work of Beyond the River Academy (BTRA).
  • certify pastors for ministry service in settings that include but are not limited to rural and small congregations.
  • engage in the ministry of reconciliation through our partners where possible.
  • make available a wide variety of educational resources that proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the fundamental teaching of the Word of God as contained in the Holy Scriptures and rightly interpreted through Lutheran Confessions.
